Instead of a top-down approach to education we need to take power from the state and give more power to our parents and local school boards to decide what's being taught in their schools. We need to protect our students from Progressive ideologies regarding sexuality, gender and Critical Race Theory. We need to be encouraging school choice through education tax credits or a carefully structured school voucher program. Learn more
I want to keep government out of our lives as much as humanly possible. I'll fight for less government and more freedom in every area. Sixteen states in the US have some form of term limits on their legislative bodies. Minnesota should be next. Learn more
We need to be looking for ways to increase election integrity. This should be a bipartisan issue. Democrats complained in 2016 and Republicans complained in 2020. We need to pass Voter ID. There should also be more hand counting of ballots to verify voting machine totals before the ballots ever leave the precinct they are cast in and we should be making cast vote records publicly available. A cast vote record is a pdf of the ballot and how it was calculated by the voting machine. That way anyone who wants to verify the results of an election for themselves would be able to do so. Our healthcare is a mess! We need to be thinking of outside the box ideas that will reduce the strain on the system and our great health care workers. We also need to reduce government involvement wherever possible. We should be encouraging things like Direct Contracting where people pay their doctor an annual rate for basic medical care.
