Get StartedI will work to ensure that Kansas family farmers, ranchers, manufacturers, and agricultural businesses are involved in creating and implementing a common sense plan for any state or federal strategy addressing Climate Change. Learn more
I will work to ensure State agencies are meaningful partners in working with 106th District family farmers and their communities in addressing corporate agribusiness development. Learn more
I will work in developing “direct to consumer” marketing for family farm products by exempting these items from food sales tax. This approach encourages the establishment of a more sustainable and stable supply of locally grown or made products to grocery stores and farmer markets as well as encouraging local and regional economic development in establishing meat, grain, fruit and vegetable processing operations. Learn more
I will work in expanding regional and global markets for meat, grain, fruit and vegetable producers to meet the needs of large scale buyers/distributors as well as working to eliminate unnecessary barriers that prevent these same producers from selling locally to school districts, nursing homes and supermarkets. Learn more
I will work hard to restore and adequately fund public education in the 106th District as well as the State of Kansas. I also will work to build a solid public/private partnership supporting the social, emotional, and educational needs of students in our public schools so that they are set up to succeed as responsible and productive citizens having resilience to address the challenges they will face in life. Learn more
I will work with legislators and local and regional stakeholders to negotiate and focus on water quality but also on ensuring that emerging issues of water quality are addressed. Learn more
I will work with Local and State Law Enforcement agencies in developing a common sense system of firearms training programs for youth and adults and in implementing thorough and appropriate criminal background checks to protect the general public from the harmful or illegal use firearms. Learn more
I will vote to expand Medicaid services in Kansas, and I will work hard to ensure access to affordable healthcare, mental health services, and substance abuse treatment are available to all citizens of the 106th House District and the State of Kansas. Learn more
I will work hard to expand State and Federal funding for Broadband and Internet access in the 106th District and rural areas of Kansas. It is vital that this technology is fully available for business development, educational purposes and personal needs. Learn more
I support full funding of KDOT and will work hard to see that finances are available to the 106th District for proper maintenance and development of the State roads and bridges located there. Learn more
I support a balanced State budget and will work to fully implement the “3 Legged Stool Approach” of a proportional balance between the State’s income, sales and property tax funding. Learn more
