I support finding a middle ground that recognizes students as an important part of our community, while addressing the concerns of residents through stricter enforcement of rules against those who do not respect our town. Follow the lead of Former council woman Susan Ciccillini-Buonanno by utilizing the potential funds with the existing affordable housing bond. We will work together with the Affordable Housing Committee to come up with creative solutions to improve the affordable housing challenge. Learn more
The current council’s approach to regulating STRs has been less than successful. Yes, there are issues, but I believe a balanced solution is possible. My approach will involve thorough review and thoughtful regulation that considers the needs of both homeowners and visitors, while preserving the character of our neighborhoods. Learn more
Parking should be accessible to all Narragansett resident taxpayers. Our fishermen, and surfers should have preferred parking options, and I propose the creation of a parking commission to develop thoughtful solutions. This commission would work closely with the Town Manager and Council to ensure parking policies meet the needs of our community, without overstepping into state-regulated areas. Learn more
