Get StartedResidents of District 30 feel the impact of repeat violent offenders, property crime, and substance misuse. These issues aren't solved by slogans or empty promises - they require common-sense strategies, accountability, and a commitment to both supporting our officers and addressing the needs of those affected. As State Senator, I will work every day to ensure our families, neighborhoods, and small businesses are protected and respected. That means strengthening penalties for repeat violent offenders while investing in victim services and support for survivors, so those who have been harmed by crime have access to counseling, restitution, and justice without delay. I believe government should be a partner to our farmers, not an obstacle. That starts with cutting red tape and giving farmers the flexibility they need to grow and sell their products. I will work to reduce overregulation on farm stands and farmers markets, which are too often treated like large grocery stores instead of the small, local operations they are. I will also strengthen programs like the Certified Local Farm and Fish Program by increasing participation thresholds and ensuring it truly supports Maryland farmers, while reducing the number of waivers that undermine its intent. At the same time, we need to strengthen the agricultural economy so farms can remain viable for the next generation. That means improving access to processing and distribution, supporting the ability for farms to aggregate and sell products locally, and embracing innovation that better connects farmers with consumers. Our farms are worth fighting for. I'm committed to protecting Maryland agriculture, strengthening our farming economy, and ensuring that future generations have the opportunity, and the desire to carry on this proud tradition. Looking ahead, we must continue investing in infrastructure that makes our communities more resilient. That includes exploring ways to bury power lines in vulnerable areas, helping prevent outages during storms and ensuring families and businesses aren't left in the dark when severe weather hits. This is the kind of approach I believe in - protecting our environment, strengthening our infrastructure, and improving quality of life, all while respecting taxpayers. Learn more
