Jonathan believes we need major investments in state-level subsidies that incentivize solar, wind, water and other renewable projects. He believes we can create our own public citizen’s energy core to move this work forward, including an intentional focus on hiring and training Black, Brown and underserved Kentuckians as a key economic justice strategy. Jonathan believes we need to take a more aggressive approach to economic justice for all Kentucky communities that have been left out and left behind. While issues of economic justice are closely tied to racial justice, Jonathan’s vision spans the breadth of the Commonwealth. Learn more
For Jonathan, there is no better investment than investment in public education. Jonathan respects and supports the choices of families to choose a private education option for their children, but believes that public funds must be used for public education. He will be a vocal advocate against any legislation that diverts public education funds to support private education. Learn more

We need fair, accessible, affordable housing for all Kentuckians. We need to create greater incentives for homeownership for working low and moderate-income families. We need to provide support for renters who are cost-burdened and seek other measures to assist the housing insecure. Black and Brown families, who have been discriminated against in housing through redlining and other racist laws and practices throughout our nation’s history, need homeownership and rental opportunities to begin to redress those historic injustices. Jonathan supports a “housing first'' permanent supportive housing approach to ending homelessness. Learn more
We know that members of immigrant communities can be the victims of wage theft and human trafficking, and often struggle to access the public systems many may take for granted - like healthcare, the courts and more. Jonathan will assist folks with DACA cases and help those who are working on a path towards citizenship. Jonathan knows no one is “illegal” and will be a legislator to stand up for Kentucky’s immigrant communities. He will be someone in elected office they can count on. Learn more
