The current council will be passing a levy (which will increase property taxes) in September to fund a major road construction projects across the city over the next six years to get caught back up. As your city councilor I will ensure these property taxes have an end date and once the levy is paid for taxes are lowered to alleviate the burden on our residents. In addition I will advocate that we come up with a plan for making sure we repair/replace roads more strategically in the future to spread out the costs instead of trying to pay for them all at once.
