Decisions should be driven by community impact, not corporate pressure from utilities like DTE and Consumers Energy that spend millions influencing state politics. If projects move forward, they must meet strict environmental standards, create good-paying union jobs, protect homeowners, and pay their fair share so local communities are not left footing the bill.
