I will make sure that our land use plans guide responsible growth and redevelopment where infrastructure exists and essential services are available, protects rural land, and prevents over-development. The Knox County Comprehensive Land Use and Transportation plan focuses on aligning development with available roads, schools, utilities and emergency services. I will support the guiding principles of this plan, prioritize infrastructure improvements that are coordinated with growth, and require developers contribute fairly to the costs their projects create.
