I see environmentalism as a social justice issue. Michigan families shouldn’t have to worry about whether their children are being poisoned by lead in the water. They shouldn’t have to worry about their kids developing asthma from particulate matter in the air. Pollution disproportionately affects low-income and non-white communities.
