Facilitate a positive tone at Board meetings ​ Celebrate student and school accomplishments at Board meetings ​ Visit each school site and meet with the students, parents, staff, teachers and administrators to learn what is going well and what concerns should be addressed. Learn more

Promote working environments that attract and retain high quality staff, teachers and administrators ​ Expand our mental health programs to include student wellness check-ins, reduce mental health stigma, and promote healthy coping mechanisms. Learn more

I will also work to encourage the Board of Supervisors to work with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health to align their COVID protocols with those of California and the CDC so as to encourage families who have left the District for these reasons to return. Learn more

Focus on academic standards and skills necessary for student success (i.e. resilience, collaboration, and critical thinking) ​ Investigate high school diploma certifications in Arts, Media and Entertainment; Engineering and Architecture; Health Science and Medical Technology; Information and Communication Technology; etc. ​ Research and implement new curriculum, programs and protocols that are successful in other highly ranked school districts.
