At a state level, I will vote to defend and protect each one – from freedom of speech and religion, to the right to keep and bear arms to defend ourselves from a tyrannical government, to our right to due process, and to our right to privacy, for example. Every parent should have a choice when it comes to their child’s education. Missouri has some of the best home school laws in the country, and many families choose to move to Missouri for that very reason. I believe the preservation of the right to a private educational choice, without government interference, is important. Learn more
Our local school boards know their communities best and should be allowed to operate and educate based on the needs and wants of their local taxpayers. “Strings-attached” government funding often makes it difficult, if not impossible, to have true local control in education. I look forward to conversations with parents, teachers, and administrators to get their opinions on local control and the school choice bills being discussed this session. Learn more
