The medium monthly rent in the nation is over $1,600.00 and mortgage $1,400.00. With a one-time government payment of $1,200.00, this certainly does not meet the needs of our uninsured struggling renter’s in America. Without rent forgiveness, this could lead to displacement and homelessness. The best way to end homelessness, is to prevent it in the first place. After all California ranks number one in homeless population. Current efforts by our Assembly and Governor are not enough for working families.
