Get StartedEconomic justice issues are at the heart of our economy and our workforce. In my time as a state rep, I have brought hundreds of millions of dollars to the area for infrastructure jobs and economic development, and have sponsored living wage legislation that puts more money in the pockets of workers and their families. I will continue to advance entrepreneurship programs for disadvantaged communities, host job, and entrepreneurship workshops, and help revitalize our community’s commercial developments. Learn more
I am proud to be a steadfast voice for equity in public education and the author of enacted School Safety Legislation. As a state rep, I have brought millions of extra education dollars to local public school districts. I have also founded and helped operate a public after school program serving middle school and high school girls. This program provides mentorship, life coaching, entrepreneurship training, and leadership skills to some of our community’s brightest young women. I hope to continue doing all that I can to provide opportunities for our younger generations and to remove the barriers to success that so often stand in their way. Learn more
Mental health matters. I am an active member of the Mental Health Caucus and the Autism and Intellectual Disabilities Caucus and have authored landmark legislation expanding treatment options and support services for our mental health community. I have also sponsored and hosted policy hearings focused on making life better for those who suffer from mental illness, including hearings on treatment, mass incarceration, and the stigma surrounding mental health diagnoses, which keeps so many from getting the help that they need.
