PA is ranked 44th in the nation for school funding. The state is not paying its fair share of the school budgets, thus putting more pressure on the school boards to raise local taxes. I will continue to fight for a sustainable, fair school funding formula to ensure equitable funding to improve schools for our children. Learn more

Due to partisan Gerrymandering in 2011, the 2016 Congressional elections resulted in Republicans winning 72% of seats, while only getting 59% of the total vote. All votes must count, and the 2022 Redistricting Commission worked hard to produce new Districts in our Commonwealth. We still have work to do to ensure all of PA's voices are heard equally. Our country has seen too many school shootings, too many neighborhoods riddled by gun violence, and too many deaths at the hands of individuals with access to assault rifles. We need to strengthen our background check laws, so that only law-abiding individuals have access to firearms. Learn more

Too many people with disabilities do not receive the care that they need to thrive. In order to change this, we need to emphasize and support programs that emphasize independence, education, and support, not institutionalization. To do so, we must strengthen the home care workforce and ensure access to affordable long-term care, services, and supports. Learn more
