Get StartedWe want Ohio to be a destination for people to raise a family and keep young families from leaving the state. The state must provide meaningful and uncomplicated funding for childcare both for parents choosing to stay at home and those who seek outside childcare support. This means changing the way state programs to support childcare costs operate and securing paid family leave for parents to be able to stay with their children during those critical first few months of life. Ohio must embrace the bipartisan Fair School Funding Formula to give predictability and opportunity to Ohio’s children. Learn more
Public schools should be the state government’s first funding priority. The quality of education offered will determine Ohio’s future. Learn more
Large companies can not be allowed to price gouge Ohioans to pad their corporate profits. The Ohio legislature must take action to protect working families: reining in utility company increases by ensuring proper oversight, stopping data centers and the utility companies from cutting deals at the expense of the rest of us, outlawing surveillance pricing tactics at grocery stores before they start hurting our wallets even more. Data centers cannot be allowed to collect our data, use it for their own benefit, and then expect us to pay for the privilege through higher electrical rates, polluted water, surveillance pricing, and lost farmland. If multi-billion dollar corporations want to build low-job but high demand operations, they need to follow the same rule as everyone else. Communities should be compensated for the higher costs that comes with hosting data centers. Learn more
Ohio must continue to fully fund Medicaid, invest in ways to make healthcare more affordable for everyone, and the billion-dollar insurance industry to account including banning the practice of AI denials of coverage. Learn more
Real housing for people must be built - it can not be housing designed for only the richest among us. Builders must be incentivized to build housing that working families can afford & want to live in. This does not mean reckless tax breaks for developers resulting in residents paying more in their own taxes to make-up the gap. In some places, it means better use of vacant and underused land. It means that large companies should not benefit from holding on to tens of thousands of single family homes - setting high monthly rents - and keeping those homes off the market for families to purchase.
