I believe that economic and neighborhood development should be strongly focused on preserving Birmingham’s historic, vibrant, and life-long communities. I continue to strongly advocate for policies to reduce food deserts, fight obesity, tackle the addiction and opioid crisis facing our community, and expand access to physical and mental health resources. We must ensure that everyone in our community receives they healthcare they need and deserve. Learn more
I strongly believe that access to quality and affordable healthcare should not be a privilege, it is a human right that should be available to everyone. I will continue championing legislation that protects and expands healthcare access, including Medicaid. Learn more
