I went to public schools my whole life, and know the value of a solid educational foundation. As a State Representative, I have worked hard to undo the harms to our teachers and public schools that we have seen in recent years. I fought to protect teacher pay and retirement, and increase funding for our schools. We must have accessible and affordable healthcare for all Kentuckians. As a State Representative, I have sponsored and supported legislation that caps the price of insulin, ensures that those with preexisting conditions will still be insured, prevents surprise medical billing, improves maternal health, and improves access to mental health care, for all our families. I will use my years of experience in immigration and employment law to ensure that we implement fair, effective policies to attract international talent to Kentucky, and bring an informed and experienced voice to Frankfort so that our district and our state thrive. I have sponsored legislation to reinstate the prevailing wage, repeal right-to-work laws, strengthen collective bargaining, and provide a living wage for our working families. I am proud to have the strong endorsement of our unions, including the Greater Louisville Central Labor Council and the Kentucky State AFL-CIO.
