Get StartedThe hard working people are the engine of our economy, and an economy run only for the few can’t run for long. I’ll go to bat for the lower tax rates for working-class Kansans, and make sure wealthy multinational corporations don’t get to skip out on paying their fair share. Also, I will support existing local businesses and work very hard to help new local business. Learn more
Education is a way we improve ourselves and our community. Education has to be equal and equitable: The kids of KCK should have the same opportunities as kids anywhere else in Kansas. As your state representative, I’ll speak up for kids being left behind and is an issue that touches everyone’s lives in one way or another. For this reason, public schools are a top concern among political leaders. We have an obligation to constitutionally fund our public K-12 schools and equitably allocate those resources in Wyandotte County Public Schools. We must fund our public schools, bring more business programs to school, support our teachers with appropriate job protections, and make sure that every child in this state has access to high-quality public education. Gun violence has increased over the last few years in Kansas City, KS. Are you sure? There has been far too much gun violence for far too long in our community. Demanding real protection from gun violence in our community must be a priority. I believe in a law-abiding individual’s right to own a firearm but also know we have a responsibility to help keep our schools, streets, and communities safe. We need to expand background checks, red flag laws, implement longer waiting periods, and we need to take gun violence seriously as a threat in our community and in public areas. Learn more
I believe that healthcare is a human right. Healthcare has been an area of discussion for some time now. This issue is obviously important to all Kansans. Most immediately, I am committed to working with Gov. Kelly to expand Medicaid for the nearly 150,000 hard working Kansans who make too much to need charity, but too little to be able to afford the massive and rising costs of healthcare. I will fight every day to make sure that every citizen in Kansas is able to have affordable healthcare for themselves. Learn more
