I believe that we should be taking care of folks who fall on hard times. We’ve all had a tough stretch in life and some folks need some support while they get back on their feet. My concern is that we’ve turned that safety net into a hammock. We owe it to taxpayers to make sure benefits go to those who need them most and are used as a hand up not a perpetual hand out.
