Education

As Utahans, we value education. Our children are our most important resource; high-quality public education benefits everyone in the community. The legislature should be supporting teachers and not micromanaging them. I want to see less overhead, and more money go directly to the classroom where it makes the biggest impact. I recognize our current education system is not working for all kids. Parents need choices. Parents have the right and the responsibility to be involved as a stakeholder in curriculum and education decisions. Learn more

Environment / Energy

Water is a precious resource critical to our quality of life. We must improve our conservation, preserve the supplies we have today, and plan for development of additional water sources. Learn more

Preserving Open Space: protecting our hillside and our lakeside for outdoor recreation. Protecting the ecologically sensitive Farmington Bay and the Great Salt Lake is critical to the quality of life in our community. Learn more

Healthcare

In addition to our moral duty to protect society's most vulnerable, I believe in compassion for who are suffering abuse, addiction, have mental or physical health challenges, and at risk youth. Learn more

Infrastructure / Transportation

We choose to live in our community because it's a great place to raise families. We must plan carefully to preserve our family friendly culture in the midst of explosive population growth. Learn more

Taxes / Budget

Government's natural tendency is to grow larger and use all resources available. It must be held in check by constant disciplined and principled efforts. Learn more
