One area that requires particular scrutiny is new construction. With tariffs impacting the cost of steel and lumber, any building projects being considered by the village must be reevaluated in light of rising material costs. As much as I support the police department and value their work, the scope, size, and cost of the new standalone police station needs to be further discussed.
