Get StartedI believe that the decision to start or grow a family is between a woman, her family, and her doctor—NOT politicians who have no place in the doctor’s office. Learn more
In Congress, I will fight back against extremist attempts to rip these decisions away from women. Learn more
In Congress, I’ll continue to be that champion—supporting local law enforcement and gun-violence prevention while promoting responsible gun ownership in our communities. Learn more
Right now, politicians in Washington aren’t focused on doing this. Instead, they’re slashing and burning, attacking the VA, and undermining our commitment to our veterans. In Congress, I’ll fight back against DOGE cuts impacting the VA that are undermining care. Learn more
Our veterans fought for our freedoms, and we owe it to them to be there when they come home. That means ensuring all veterans receive the Veterans Administration benefits they earned, strengthening pathways for veterans to access job training and quality careers, and protecting and strengthening the VA. I’ve always worked to bring new businesses and jobs to Michigan—and that’s what I’ll continue to do in Congress. Learn more
My number one priority will be lowering everyday costs while protecting and creating good-paying jobs right here in Southwest Michigan. From utilities to prescription drugs to housing—I’ll make sure Congress gets its act together to make life more affordable for working families. Learn more
People should be able to work, earn a good wage, and build a better life for their families. That should be a possibility, not a privilege, for everyone. We need to keep investing in manufacturing here at home to create good jobs and strengthen our local economies. Learn more
We need to make sure our schools are providing our children with the skills they need to succeed, whether that means putting them on the path to a four-year degree or providing the technical education to connect them with the skills to work in a 21st-century manufacturing economy. Learn more
I believe every child deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential, which is why I strongly support public education and funding our public schools. Learn more
Solar, wind, and nuclear energy here in Michigan will help us support US energy independence, reduce pollution, and create good-paying jobs in our community. In the Michigan Senate, I supported funding to help reopen the Palisades Nuclear Plant to help us move towards a clean energy future. We need solutions that reduce costs for Michigan families—not aging coal and natural gas plants that make energy more expensive for ratepayers. Learn more
Here in Michigan, we understand the value of clean water. The Great Lakes are a national treasure and central to our way of life here. We also know all too painfully what happens when you don’t take care of the water, as we’ve seen with the lead water crises in Benton Harbor and Flint. No one should have to worry about the safety of the water they drink. We need to protect the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the beauty of Michigan for all our kids and grandkids. Learn more
Lower prescription drug costs and hold Big Pharma accountable for price gouging. Learn more
Extend the ACA tax credits and reduce the cost of health care. Learn more
Strengthen access to care across our district—in both our rural and urban communities. Learn more
A world exists where we can have a secure border that stops criminals from entering our country while providing a path for those who follow the rule of law to come here legally. What doesn’t keep us secure is ICE and untrained federal agents terrorizing our communities and killing American citizens in broad daylight. In Congress, I will do everything in my power to overhaul ICE and hold agents accountable for illegal actions. Learn more
Our farmers are committed to their communities and to growing the food necessary to feed and support them. The dismantling of USAID left many farmers in a tough spot with excess crops and nowhere to sell them. Congress needs to pass the Farm Bill Reauthorization to support farmers and rural communities through investment in infrastructure, workforce training, economic development, and conservation. Learn more
In Congress, I will push for “Right to Repair” legislation. For too long, our farmers have been forced to wait for expensive repairs when they are capable of maintaining and repairing their equipment themselves, at much lower costs. Learn more
