Energy costs and the future of power generation for Railbelt utilities are looming issues for our region. Tackling these issues will involve putting all generation options on the table while also continuing ongoing state and federal efforts to upgrade transmission infrastructure. Statewide, the current cost of fuel for rural Alaska communities is crippling.
