Get StartedFunding for Emergency Services: I will push for increased funding for municipalities to support EMS and fire services, ensuring that help is always available when needed. Learn more
Cover training costs for child care workers to grow the supply of qualified providers in our area, and give home and day care providers continued grants to be able to invest in their workers and great learning opportunities for the children in their daycare centers. Learn more
Advocating for guardrails on AI use in schools. Clearly the future depends on leaning into these powerful tools but we need to help children and young adults be good stewards of AI. Learn more
Capping Voucher Spending: I will advocate for a cap on voucher spending per district to ensure that our public schools receive the funding they need. Learn more
Equal Standards: Voucher schools must adhere to the same standards and reporting guidelines as publicly funded schools, guaranteeing a quality education for all students. Learn more
It’s crucial to know how much of our local public school property tax dollars are allocated to voucher programs. I will push for transparency in these financial matters. Learn more
Big Tech built the technology behind AI — now it's on them to figure out how to power it without pushing the costs onto the rest of us. New data centers use significant local resources, and local ratepayers can end up covering the cost of grid upgrades. Terri wants a pause, so the state can set clear rules that put residents first before more of these projects move forward. Learn more
Sensible Gun Policies: I support sensible gun safety and storage policies to keep our communities safe while respecting responsible gun ownership. Learn more
With the recent closures of the Drug Store in Jefferson and Hometown Pharmacy in Lake Mills, Terri supports passage of the Cole's Act. This bill would stop big corporate interests from price gouging independent pharmacies and forcing them out of business, and it protects our kids from last-minute price changes on their medication. Tragically, this issue has already cost one young Wisconsinite's life. As a nurse, Terri wants everyone to get the medication they need, when they need it. Learn more
Cap insulin at $35 for a one-month supply. Cap asthma medication at $25/month, and related supplies at $50/month. Learn more
Give every Wisconsinite the choice to buy into BadgerCare if they want it — or keep the commercial plan that's already working for them. No one loses options. Everyone gains one. Learn more
Healthcare Access: I will work tirelessly to ensure that middle-income families and small business workers have access to affordable healthcare. Expanding insurance coverage is vital not only for individual health but also for the sustainability of rural hospitals and clinics. Under EMTALA, all emergencies must be treated, yet the viability of our healthcare system hinges on a broader insured population. Learn more
Support for Rural Hospitals: Keeping our rural hospitals open and funding Emergency Departments is vital. I will advocate for resources that allow these facilities to thrive, ensuring that quality care is accessible without long travel times. Learn more
Mental Health Resources: Better funding for rural mental health services is critical. I will prioritize initiatives that address mental health needs in our communities. Learn more
A new high-voltage transmission line is planned to cut through local land, and outsiders are moving fast without showing why such a dramatic change is even necessary. Local officials from all over WI are objecting, and communities across Jefferson and Dodge Counties deserve to be heard before decisions like this get made, not after. Terri believes communities should have a real say before projects like this move forward, not be told once the decision's already been made. Learn more
With all the focus on Big Tech, one issue keeps getting overlooked — and it's the one voters in AD 38 tell Terri matters most. Thousands of homes in rural Wisconsin still lack access to reliable internet. In Jefferson and Dodge counties alone, an estimated 11,000–12,000 residents lack reliable access, largely due to the "last mile" infrastructure gap in rural areas. As your Assembly Member, Terri will work to expand financial incentives for providers to connect rural homes, and bring more providers to the table to build new lines of access where they're needed most. Learn more
Affordable childcare is essential for working families. I will champion initiatives that make quality childcare affordable and available, helping parents balance work and family life. Learn more
Restore Wisconsin's prevailing wage law, so workers are paid a fair, local market wage instead of being undercut by out-of-state workers. Learn more
Repeal Right to Work and restore collective bargaining rights, so workers have a real seat at the table on wages and working conditions. Learn more
