Reduce Dependency on Riverboat Gaming Revenue for Day-To-Day Operations It’s no secret that gaming revenue in Dearborn County is on the decline. And while sports betting has brought more guests back through our casino doors, that corresponding revenue is disproportionately going to the State, not Dearborn County. Just like every citizen realizes how to live on their personal budget, our County needs to run our day-to-day budget anticipating the dwindling riverboat revenues. It wouldn’t be fiscally responsible to count on that revenue for day-to-day operations, any more than a citizen counting on a Christmas bonus to cover the mortgage. Learn more
