Keeping Cherokee tax dollars in Cherokee by implementing a policy that requires where all County construction contracts are awarded, general contractors must either be based within the county and utilize a minimum of 50% local subcontractors, or, if based outside the county, employ at least 75% subcontractors who are Cherokee County residents.
