Further, I plan to focus upon public safety by expanding the police and fire departments to rid our streets of crime and drugs and ensure fire safety is maintained through innovative ideas and efforts such as applying natural means to reduce underbrush such as goats and livestock and encouraging new businesses such as animal husbandry, cheese production and encouraging youth to be involved in 4-H, Future Farmers of America, and public safety activities. Certainly Veteran Affairs policies are not focused upon creating veteran bonds with our youth and establishing a ‘esprit de corps’ or feeling of pride, friendship and common loyalty necessary to recruit, train, and field the most capable military force in the world. This includes establishing a Ventura County drinking water and air quality risk and resilience assessment. I also believe desalination is an achievable means to resolve California’s water challenges.
