Question 1 - One Percent Sales Tax For Educational Purposes

Shall the 1 (one) percent sales and use tax for educational purposes currently imposed in the Clinch County School District be reimposed commencing upon the expiration of the current 1 (one) percent sales and use tax and continuing for a period of time not to exceed 20 consecutive calendar quarters and for the raising of not more than $9,500,000 for the purposes of funding the following capital outlay projects: (i) constructing, remodeling, renovating, improving, and equipping classrooms, physical education and athletic facilities, instructional, vocational, fine arts, office, and support space and grounds, including parking areas, at various schools, administrative and support facilities in the School District, including furnishings, equipment, and fixtures for such schools and other facilities, including, educationally related labs, system wide safety and security systems and equipment, transportation vehicles and equipment, including school buses, maintenance vehicles and equipment, electronic and institutional resources (including ebooks), technology related items, and acquisition of real or personal property in connection with any of the foregoing; and (ii) paying the principal and interest (during the period the one percent sales and use tax is to be imposed) on Clinch County School District's outstanding Clinch County School District General Obligation Bonds, Series 2022?
