No one who worked hard their entire life should be forced out of their home by rising property taxes. I’ll fight for meaningful property tax reform that provides real relief, especially for seniors and fixed-income residents, while protecting the quality of our schools and local services. Property taxes continue to rise while many seniors’ incomes do not. I support freezing property taxes for qualifying seniors so they can stay in their homes without fear of annual tax increases. Passing an on-time budget should not be optional. I’ll hold the Governor and the legislature accountable to do their jobs, funding schools and essential services responsibly without political games or delays. I will introduce legislation that ensures legislators and the Governor do not get paid until a state budget is passed.
