The implementation of a Citizen Police Academy will familiarize the participants with the daily tasks of our deputies and how an incident evolves from the call for service to the closing of the case. The program will be used as a format to inform the public about what we do and how those skills are applied in the community. Learn more
We will also work with surrounding law enforcement agencies to provide a more efficient and effective way of responding and reporting incidents. We will work with surrounding agencies in the implementation of inter-agency task forces such as DWI and animal cruelty enforcement to better utilize our resources. Learn more
It is imperative to train deputies that the manner in which they respond to potentially hostile incidents is often the key to diffusing it. We must teach our deputies how to respond to difficult behavior in the safest, most efficient way possible for the good of both the deputies and the citizens we serve. Learn more
